The main anti-collapse mechanism of this product involves embedding, covering, and plugging the bedding planes and micro-fractures of shale, preventing drilling fluid filtrate from entering the shale and reducing hydration expansion. When used in conjunction with polymer drilling fluids in high-temperature deep wells and in the interval of collapsing mud shale wells, it can improve the stability of the drilling fluid and enhance its ability to inhibit collapse.
