China Chemical News: On November 19, Gu Zongqin, Chairman of the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association, delivered a keynote report at the 2025 Technical Exchange Conference on Natural Gas-based Synthesis of Ammonia and Methanol Production held in Yibin, Sichuan Province. He pointed out that in the face of new situations and requirements, the natural gas-based synthesis of ammonia and methanol industry must adhere to scientific and technological innovation as the driving force, energy conservation and carbon reduction as the focal point, and safety and environmental protection as the bottom line, so as to accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces and enhance the industry's capacity for sustainable development. Moving forward, the entire industry should focus on advancing work in five key areas.
