Introduction
———

HTVIS-200 is an advanced water-based drilling-fluid viscosifier designed for freshwater, seawater, and high-salinity monovalent brines (up to 150,000 ppm). It is especially suitable for clay-free, high-temperature fluid systems and reservoir sections. Built on a slightly crosslinked synthetic polymer structure, HTVIS-200 enhances low-end rheology while helping maintain PV/YP stability. Supplied as a latex emulsion (~30 wt% active), it supports rapid hydration and uniform mixing, minimizing “fish-eyes”. The product is designed for high-temperature stability up to approximately 216°C (420°F), and can also contribute to shale encapsulation and swelling control, complementing common formation stabilizers.

  • Builds low-end rheology to support hole cleaning and suspension

  • Improves thixotropy and helps prevent settling in high-density or clay-free systems

  • Suitable for freshwater / seawater / monovalent brine WBM systems (lab optimization recommended)
