Introduction

DYGD-5 is an OBM / invert-emulsion HTHP filtration-control additive based on modified natural asphalt, designed to reduce HTHP fluid loss while supporting wellbore stability in demanding oil-based systems. It is engineered to work effectively in high-temperature intervals around 150–200°C (302–392°F), with minimal impact on rheology (plastic viscosity / yield point) and emulsion stability. (For applications above this range—e.g., up to 260°C (500°F)—performance should be verified in the specific system.)

• Addition: Add directly into the active system while circulating; for faster dispersion, it can be pre-mixed in diesel/base oil and then introduced into the mud.
