Introduction

PHPA is a water-soluble anionic polymer used in water-based drilling fluids to provide shale encapsulation and inhibition. PHPA also contributes to lubricity improvement and can assist solids-control performance by promoting better cuttings integrity and easier removal at surface equipment.
