Introduction

JAS is an amine-based polymer shale inhibitor for water-based drilling fluids (WBM). With multiple amine functional groups along the polymer chain, it effectively suppresses clay hydration, swelling, and dispersion while helping maintain a stable system without severe flocculation or settling. JAS is designed for inhibition performance up to 160°C (320°F), and is suitable for a wide range of WBM formulations where wellbore stability and cuttings integrity are priorities.
