AMPHICAP is a polymer encapsulating shale inhibitor designed for water-based drilling fluids (WBM/HPWBM). It rapidly encapsulates cuttings and reactive shales, suppressing hydration and dispersion to improve wellbore integrity. Its polymer architecture provides broad electrolyte tolerance, including resistance to divalent cations (Ca²⁺/Mg²⁺), making it suitable for freshwater and brine systems. AMPHICAP is intended for elevated-temperature drilling intervals; the maximum temperature rating should be confirmed by lab/field verification in the target brine chemistry.
