Introduction

SMP series is a sulfonated phenolic resin designed for filtration control in water-based drilling fluids. It helps build a thin, low-permeability filter cake, reduce fluid invasion into permeable formations, and support mud-system stability under high-temperature and high-salinity conditions. The SMP series is commonly selected for deeper and more demanding intervals where reliable HTHP filtration control is required.
